Love the FEH - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By Neil - January 21 - 4:30 pmI have had mine for almost four months and it is great! I am averaging 30- 33mpg in combination driving. I get closer to 33 when I drive to max out the electric mode and watch my acceleration but even driving more aggressively I get around 30. I have the Premium Package and am very happy with this vehicle.

LOVE IT! - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By Pam - January 16 - 11:26 pmI absolutely love my purchase. It has been 4 days and I drove over 300 miles July 4th weekend. Transition from electric to gas was not noticeable. It was great to sit in a traffic jam, traveling less than 30 miles per hour and realize the car was in electric mode and no gas was being used. Many stares and questions from other motorists. Savings already noticed. Rides well with luggage and 4 adults.

The great Escape - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By tmk - September 18 - 6:56 amAs owner of a previous v6 Escape i must say there is a big improvement over the old. Love the CVT tranny; it is so smooth and quiet. Ford has done a lot to improve overall quality of the Escape even through I love my v6 and have no problems with it. One thing that most reviewers dont mention is the lack of brake dust on the wheels. This was a constant problem with the v6. And as for gas mileage, this the reason you would buy this vehicle especially if you are in stop in go traffic -- its great for an suv.

Great Vehicle - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By Wendy - July 1 - 3:46 amWe did a lot of research before spending the money, and cant say anything negative about the Escape. Feels good to drive a clean car. Comfortable ride, handles well. Plenty of room for one Great Dane in the back seat, plenty of leg room for people too. Feels substantial and solid. Looks gorgeous in black. High crash test ratings or wouldnt have purchased. Plenty of power when you need it. Didnt get the navigation system, so not positive what mileage has been. Nothing like the Explorer it replaced though, this sips gas. Seems to be almost silent at slow speeds, so be careful of pedestrians. A good match for our needs and I have been wholeheartedly recommending it.

Great for Atlanta city driving! - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By JAL - June 10 - 5:33 pmHybrids are great for the gridlocked, rush-hour driving in a city like Atlanta. Gas mileage is outstanding in these conditions. I bought this car off the lot, and did NOT pay the markup prices they were trying for. At the same time, in these times of high gasoline cost, dont expect the dealer to drop much if any below MSRP; just dont pay for the garbage "features". The Escape Hybrid has adequate roominess, and is surprisingly roomy for a tall guy like myself (64") behind the wheel.

Couldnt be happier - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By wildtexas - March 30 - 6:06 amThe vehicle is fun to drive and provides superb gas mileage for a small size SUV -- better than even the 1992 Toyota Corolla it replaced in our family. We have a premium, fully-loaded Ford Escape Hybrid with moonroof, leather seats and the GPS Nav, and we couldnt be happier.

Escape Hybrid best bet for SUV! - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By Dave B - February 15 - 8:06 pmHave found the switching between gas and electric to be seamless. Real fun to drive and with the fuel economy shown I find I am challenging myself to keep it on electric as long as possible. Got it at an average fuel economy of 33.7 MPG after a month and 2000 miles of use.

Love this car - 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid
By JeffInSd - November 28 - 6:23 pmGot rid of my tank (Chevy Avalanche) and purchased the Escape with 0% financing by Ford Motor Credit in CA ... what a deal! Finished off the first tank of gas at 32.4 mpg and Im sure it will only get better since I know how to drive it now to get the best mileage. I recommend putting a little distance between you and the car in front of you so you can coast start the car at lights. This will allow you to take advantage of the electric power for a greater amount of time.
